Easter Delight

Every holiday brings yet another opportunity to showcase creativity and experience the possibilities of using fabric, especially in ways that involve us with our children (or maybe the child in us). Those who LOVE fabric, I mean really LOVE fabric, have stacks of it in closets and on project tables and even in baskets by our favorite chair….. For us, visiting a fully stocked, well staffed decorative fabric shop is, well like going to a candy store. So much to touch and so little time to list all the possibilities. Patterns, colors, textures, color ways that evoke the designer in each of us- every color and combination that a mind can conceive.

With Easter only a couple of weeks away, we thought we’d better get moving on spring decorations. Today’s blog feature is all about EGGS and showcasing blog masters that bring the tutorials to us! We pinned a few of our favs on Pinterest  and then wanted to share the ones we thought were the top three –  the “winners” so to speak – the ones we love.

Counting backwards; beginning with #3, and mostly because of the name “EGGS OVER EASY”, is a cute little collection of fabric eggs from the blog ARMOMMY. If you want to try your hand at these babies, check out her tutorial link below.

Coming in at #2 is a vintagesque little batch of eggs from RETRO MAMA. You’ve probably heard it said, “it’s all in the presentation” and displaying these tiny oval designs on that fabulous cake stand, just caught our attention and took us back a bit to the 1950’s kitchens of our grandmothers.

Our most favorite for many reasons is the FABRIC TASTIC EGGS from SEWING DAISIES. Look at the photography! Amazing!  There is something about using the element of crochet spools to perch the tiny wonders upon. Just Beautiful!

Other lovelies are pinned on our PINTEREST page, so follow us and check them out.  You’ll even find our  EGGSTRA SPECIAL SALE and our CONTEST (LIKE & SHARE of FB). We hope to see you soon at our shop in The Market District. Look for the blue pavilion awnings at 1410 Market St. We’re in the corner near Momo’s Pizza and Abraham George Outdoor.

Please visit the blogs above and let the eggstraordinary designers know how much you like what they have done  and wish them, as we do you, a very Happy Easter.
